the good news is that there is only 1 week to go until the Sziget festival kicks off! And as I already visited the festival area 2 weeks before the actual start and there was not much to see yet – I decided to give it another try and come again. This time, I visited it much closer to the magical date of 10th August 2015.
I am actually quite happy that I returned as this time there was much more to see and it raised my excitement for the Sziget! I never witnessed building Sziget or actually any other festival. This time, it was not that easy to get inside and outside of the fenced area like 1 week ago, but voilà!
When entering the famous Sziget festival bridge, you would not notice that soon there will be the biggest hit of Budapest summer taking place:
This is the main access road that many of the festival visitors would have to take to get into the festival premises. Do you see anything strange about the prices on the tank station?

Auchan usually has special offers for festival visitors, but now they still advertise school notebooks. Notice the sign under the billboard that advises that you are entering a construction area

The next thing you spot as opposed to my last week’s visit is the fact that there is a security guy sitting by all the fence entrances to the festival area. We found out it is possible to walk in there, but not drive. So we park our car and go see Sziget festival building on foot.
Attempt to find a way in ended in a disaster. The whole fenced area is guarded by security. We can continue further only as pedestrians, so we park and go explore on foot. Notice the change in weather compared to my last week’s visit

These little windows are FestiPay top up points. There was already several of them ready to be just opened. This one is on the main road connecting north and south of Sziget maybe close by World Music stage. See the little motocycle on the left? The festival is full of them
The World Music stage is being built. Already last year, I adored the flower and mushroom light decorations, happy to see them back!

The festival ground is also being reinforced with big plates. Very good idea! This is located between World Music Stage and Main Stage
It is only a few steps away from the main stage. When you come before the festival, you have to walk a bit more to get to that part of the island. That’s what we wanted to see and why we came anyway, right? I was surprised that building Sziget festival is going so fast! Compare with my previous post Before Sziget to see how the works advanced!

The A38 stage (32 on map, why not 38?:)) looks better than ever. How many times will it be this year full? The big LCD boards before the Stage indicate, from which side you should enter and if the tent is full. Really useful
Last week during my visit, I was wondering what will that be. Now, I can confirm this will be a corner pub – selling among others Cider
Another FestiPay Top Up point. This time I noticed that they have an air-conditioning inside! Maybe worth hooking up with some girl topping up cards as the weather should be H-O-T!
I am not sure you can see it well from the picture, but this is a stage floor being built between the trees. I think it is either the (22) Go to Hungary Escaping Game or (23)

After a bit of walking around, finally we arrived to see how the main stage (25) is looking like. The Buda hills are still visible

One thing that stroke me last year was the use of visual art. Here the artists are preparing one of the installations. Will it do more than the one last year? I do not know, but for sure I will come check out!
